Ten Worst Halloween Candies For Kids

Halloween is awesome! For me, it's one of my absolute favorite holidays.

I love getting dressed up, going to the parties, and of course, indulging in some tasty treats throughout the holiday.

That being said, if you are catering to the trick or treaters, have your own kids that will be collecting massive amounts of sugar based treats, or perhaps just stocking a few bowls of wrapped delights at your house, this is an important list to know.

Top Ten Worst Halloween Candies For Kids

  • Snickers - nougat, caramel and, of course, chocolate. "Chocolate is loaded with fat and calories," (Cindy Flanagan, DDS). Cavities are just around the corner.
  • Reese's Peanut Butter Pumpkins - hey calorie counters these have 188 calories a piece
  • Candy Corn - 150 calories per ounce
  • M&Ms candy corn white chocolate candies - chocolate is loaded with saturated fat and calories, and candy corn is loaded with sugar and artificial ingredients, not to mention; the combination isn't the greatest of nutritious ideas.
  • Tootsie Pops - With the amount of licks to get to the center, we're talking tooth decay.
  • Starburst - Loaded with fat and 22 grams of sugar per packet
  • Sour patch Kids - addictive because they are sour on the outside but sweet on the inside. Tooth enamel breakdown
  • Fun Dip - 25 calories per serving: sugar, sugar and more sugar.
  • Skittles - sugar, corn syrup, hydrogenated palm oil, or trans fat, and artificial colors. If you want the rainbow eat fruit.
  • Sugary Bubble Gum - carbohydrates, sugar and calories. On the bright side gum does remove food particles from between the teeth.
