This may not be the best approach to fixing the problem, but it's an approach to say the least. A North Dakota woman is handing out letters to children she believes are obese when they come knocking for candy on Halloween. Yep, no candy, just a piece of paper outlining the obesity problem in the neighborhood.
"You [sic] child is, in my opinion, moderately obese and should not be consuming sugar and treats to the extent of some children this Halloween season.
My hope is that you will step up as a parent and ration candy this Halloween and not allow your child to continue these unhealthy eating habits."
