Last Friday was National Donut Day (like we really need one of those in the U.S.), and Dunkin Donuts’ showed off their new Glazed Donut Breakfast Sandwich. This thing features bacon and a pepper fried egg, stuffed in between a glazed donut.
I say that Krispy Kreme did them one better.
It's called the Krispy Kreme Sloppy Joe, and it's a deep-fried, beef-based sandwich that was sold at Chicken Charlie’s at the San Diego County Fair on Saturday.
The sandwich features a generous amount of Sloppy Joe meat and cheddar cheese on a glazed doughnut bun. Just LOOK at this thing! Can you imagine eating one of these, I hope you have a high metabolism!
